Our Story
Reed Press was born from a quiet ache: the sense that somewhere along the way, the soul of storytelling got lost.
In boardrooms, classrooms, campaigns, and bookshelves, stories wait to be heard—complicated, tender, urgent stories. Too often, they’re flattened by jargon, drowned in noise, or left untold because no one made space to listen.
Reed Press exists to change that.
We are a publishing and content company built on the belief that empathy is not a luxury in storytelling—it’s the root. We begin not with strategy, but with people: the author with a truth burning to be shared, the organization with a mission but no clear voice, the leader who needs to be heard and understood.
Nicole Reed founded Reed Press in 2025 after two decades in journalism, publishing, and narrative strategy. Again and again, she saw the power of a well-told story to cut through complexity and make people feel seen, and how rare that care had become. Reed Press is her answer: a company that honors storycraft and soul in equal measure.
We’re structured with two connected paths.
Reed Press is our core company, offering strategic storytelling support for organizations and independent authors. Our editorial team provides developmental editing, copyediting, ghostwriting, and content strategy. We help clients refine their voice, not surrender it.
Gremlin Books is our sister imprint. For authors ready to publish, we offer a path built on mutual respect, craft, and care. Gremlin is not a vanity press. We don’t charge authors to publish. We invest in voices we believe in and bring them to market with full editorial support.
Together, Reed Press and Gremlin Books create a shared ecosystem built for clarity, connection, and narrative integrity—so more stories not only get told, but truly get heard.
